"Mixed media" collage project (musique concrète... sort of) assembled from found sounds and manipulations of obsolete recording mediums: thrift store vinyl, old audio cassettes, family home movies, VHS tapes of recordings off of 80s TV, etc. Recorded circa 2004 on a MiniDisc 4-track recorder, also (coincidentally) obsolete. Audio loops created with an Akai Headrush and/or Boss DD-5 (didn't have a sampler back then so all the loops here were mono). Other effects pedals were also used to manipulate these loops. The goal was to create/record without the aid of a computer, using more stripped-down hands-on recording techniques.
